Performance Plus Class (Mondays 5:30-7:30)

This is a class for middle to high school students (grades 7-12) who already have some experience in theatre performance or production. This experience may be in the form of Stage Right Classes, Musical Theatre Class, summer theatre camps, participating as cast or crew in a show – or in HS drama classes, theatre festivals or other events.

The class will work on: script analysis, directing, stage management, design (lighting, costume, set, and props), building (set, props, costumes) and setting up and operating technical equipment.

In the fall term, the culminating project for this class is the Child’s Play production of Jimmy Scarecrow’s Christmas, which will be performed by our Young Company.

The fee for this class is $322.20, which includes hst. A 4% transaction fee will be added when paying by credit card.

There is an application process to be considered for this class. The application is not long, but it helps me to understand where each person is on their theatrical journey, and allows me to consider admitting theatre kids who are new to Bottle Tree Productions.

Applications close on September 10. Class starts September 14. There is an expectation of attendance and a mature work ethic.

There will be a requirement of time outside of class hours in the weeks prior to the performance. This class will form the production team for the show. Some of them may wish to also audition for the Young Company and may also be cast in the show.
