What to Wear/Bring to Classes and Camps

What to Wear and Bring (and what to leave at home!)

Students should wear comfortable clothing that they can move in. Modesty is also a factor as we jump, crawl, walk, roll and MOVE in our classes. There is no fountain, so a water bottle is important. Electronic devices are not to be used during class, and it is up to the instructor’s discretion as to how that gets implemented (students may be asked to place device on the prop table until class is done).

The studio is located inside a 200+ year-old church, and it is temperature indiscriminate. You may want to bring slippers or indoor shoes, and wear a sweater in case things get cool. Outdoor footwear is removed for class.

All students and staff must be up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations and must wear masks when inside the building.

About Food and Beverages in the Studio

We do not allow food or beverages other than clear water in the studio during regular class times. For camps, or extended classes, actors should bring a peanut and nut-free lunch and snacks, and may have other beverages during break times.

Day Camps Require Dressing for the Weather

Our Day Camps – especially summer camp – take place outdoors, weather permitting. Campers need to dress for the weather (including light rain gear), with sunscreen and a hat included in their bags.

Flip-flops are actively discouraged at day camps. We walk a LOT, and they are unsafe footwear, frequently breaking and rolling, causing falls and injury.

Regular classes are typically done in the studio.

COVID-19 Policy

Bottle Tree Production’s drama classes continue to follow COVID-19 prevention measures. We require masks indoors, and have limited our registration numbers to allow for distancing between students. Our studios have hepa air filters running during and between classes, and our sanitisation protocol is still in effect.

Students and staff must be fully vaccinated to attend classes and camps.

Successful COVID-19 screening, hand sanitizing, and wearing face masks that cover the nose, mouth and chin are mandatory for anyone entering our facility. Gaitors and face sheilds are not adequate for our purposes. Surgical masks are preferred over cloth, when possible.

We thank you for your understanding as we try to continue to protect our vulnerable loved ones.
