We value achievement and personal enrichment in our acting classes. Our program sets the student up to succeed while allowing that failure is a normal part of learning. “Try, try again” brings success. This is not art therapy; we aim to develop performance-oriented acting skills so that audiences are entertained. We can’t help it that these skills serve people well in many more aspects of their lives – but we’re fine with that! Bottle Tree Productions invests in quality instructors and scripts, professional venues, and main stage shows that support the talent in the classes.
Bottle Tree Productions’ Artist Educator Anne Marie Mortensen has this to say about theatre:
Participating in theatre can create life-long friendships, and it can build skills, which builds confidence. There is a place for everyone in the theatre. If you love to be on stage, if you love to write, to sew, to paint, to build, to manage, to design, to dance, to move, to sing, to play, or if what you really love is to watch and be transported – there is a place for you. Belonging to a community is a basic human need that is well-met with this artform. I see how our company has helped people, young and old, to create this community, to move together toward a mutual goal, to support each other and spin gold from straw. In theatre, through story telling, people can create something from nothing. That is magic.
My two girls have taken classes for several years and love it here. They have grown so much from the quiet kids they were. Anne Marie, you have been hard at work. The space looks great and it is buzzing with activity!

Not-hypothetically speaking….I put her in drama where she reads and practices a script over and over again, building reading fluency, prosody and expression! And she LOVES it!!! Thanks to @Bottletreeinc
