AUDITION NOTICE: Dressing Amelia

A daughter struggles to reconcile the past she thought she knew with a wardrobe full of roles to try on. Upstairs Amelia is still angry with her mother and refuses to leave her childhood room because she doesn’t have anything appropriate to wear. Downstairs her grandmother is entertaining the guests who have arrived while Thomas and Grace indulge Amelia’s retrospection on her childhood. Sometimes it’s just a dress and sometimes it’s so much more.
We are looking for 2 female-identifying actors and 1 male- identifying actor. Each plays a character in their 20’s.
Please prepare a monologue of your choice, and be ready to read from the script with other attendees if requested.
Auditions will be open (no appointment) and will be at the Bottle Tree Studio in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 130 Clergy St. E Kingston. Parking is on the street or in the municipal parking lot on Queen Street. Look for the Bottle Tree Productions sandwich board to find which door to use.
Auditions dates are Saturday March 2, 3;00pm-5:00pm and Wednesday March 6, 5:00-7:00pm.
